Steady with removable top (Type 2)
Suitable for tools with diameters ranging from 400 to 1,500 mm and loads up to 30 tons. The rotating steady rest with removable top is designed for thinner tools, which project from the lining more than 2.5 times the diameter and are available with three or four sleeves, depending upon the application. The top has to be lifted with a crane.
This steady can be used with horizontal drilling machines, where it can be arranged on the front side. It can also be used with a turntable and a dividing attachment.
This steady is also fitted with the protected electronic measuring device. It can identify the center of its machine and the sleeves can be preset on the basis of the tool diameter. This idea, which is patented, was devised by the master toolmaker, Harry Richter and then developed for application by Richter Vorrichtungsbau.
Type 2/1 - with removable top
