Steady with swiveling and collapsible top (Type 3)
Suitable for workpieces with diameters ranging from 400 to 1,500 mm and loads up to 30 tons. Rotating steady rests with a swiveling top are designed for workpieces , for which the standstill time of the machine must be kept to minimum. Since they can be easily moved with the hand, a crane is not needed even for bigger workpieces. This considerably reduces the setup time for a new application! This steady rest is only available with three center sleeves.
This steady is also fitted with the protected electronic measuring device. The steady can identify the center of its machine and the sleeves can be preset on the basis of the workpiece diameter. This idea, which is patented, was devised by the master toolmaker, Harry Richter and then developed for application by Richter Vorrichtungsbau.
